GfK (Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung) SE / MRI-Simmons joint venture,  New York, NY, (12/2019 to Present) Cloud Administrator

Responsible for the administration and oversight of MRI-Simmons'  Windows, Linux and container cloud assets in the AWS and Azure public clouds.

Implemented the first serverless and docker based applications in the organization along with deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) using terraform. Led the initiative to dockerize legacy Windows .NET Framework and FORTRAN applications on Windows containers that could not be converted to .NET Core and linux based containers.

Magnacare/Brighton Health plans/Create, Westbury, NY, (1/2019 to 3/2019) Consultant 

 Stabilized a seriously off-track mission critical Linux based claims system project and successfully implemented it into production and created a project plans to peel off functionality for deployment into the AWS cloud. 

Lancer Insurance Company,  Long Beach, NY, (8/2017 to 12/2018) Linux Systems Administrator 

Replaced and hardened firewall, router and server infrastructure. Installed and configured Spacewalk for patch management. Installed and configured a clustered Elasticsearch-Logstash-Kibana (ELK) stack for log reporting and auditing. Created Ansible playbooks for automated build out of infrastructure ensuring configuration uniformity and to create environments for MariaDB Galera, HAProxy, Solr/Zookeeper, GlusterFS clusters. Additionally, responsible for ProxMox, VMWare and KVM virtualization environments. Created tutorials for in-house staff to use VirtualBox, Vagrant and Ansible for a proof-of-concept web tier with a HAProxy fail-over and KeepaliveD. Created proof of concept replicas of key corporate systems in AWS using Terraform to provision EC2, S3, KMS, Route53, ALBs, IAM roles and ElasticSearch.
